This client came to me with a site already built in ExpressionEngine (EE). I used the back end of what they had and designed a new look and feel. In the process of implementing the new templates, I was able to make many of their tasks easier to manage and streamlined the content management for them and usability for their audience.
Because they are an optometry school, they wanted me to be sure to create a site that passes ADA web standards for visually impaired visitors.
I also automated the SEO for the site with updated open graph meta tags and custom social media tools.
After looking for someone versed in ExpressionEngine, I happened upon Bree in my search and I am so happy that I did! I hired Bree to help revise the templates for our website, building in more SEO, greater front-end functionality, and increased accessibility and navigation. Bree moved our website from static templates which required us to hire the original web designers to make almost any change, to more dynamic templates that specifically addressed our needs. Some of our challenges were connected to the inability to manipulate images, build forms, or change formatting. Bree built in a WYZIWYG into our templates to give us much more flexibility. Throughout the process, Bree kept me informed about the progress, the challenges, and our needs, always listening to what we wanted but making sure our decisions were wise ones. As primarily a front-end content developer, I appreciated Bree’s responsiveness to my questions and willingness to both problem solve together, help me learn more about the back-end of our website, and offer suggestions to new ways to handle issues. She worked countless hours on our project, always willing to make changes and with a sincere dedication to not only making the site the best it could be, but the way we wanted it to look and feel. I appreciate her flexibility, dedication, and knowledge and look forward to working together on our next project.
