The first step is to schedule a meeting either by telephone or, if you are in the Boston area, in person to review your scope of project, to understand YOUR business and how I might contribute to its success. Getting a clear picture of your products/services, you target audience, your competition, and your systems of operations will allow me to determine the range of services I might provide that speak to your short term needs with long-term goals in mind.
I will offer a thoughtful solution based upon careful review of project objectives and both creative and functional requirements. We will agree to a time frame and estimate for your project. I will then ask you to submit the necessary content based upon a project outline, determined within our contract. This content can include photographs, digital files, illustrations, text, etc. Based upon our outline and the solutions we have come up with during the creative process, we will ask you to review our solutions, make any changes or additions you feel necessary, and sign off on starting this project. The first 1/3 of the estimate will be due at this point.
I will develop a series of layouts for the project working with all provided materials. Of course, all design work will be done based upon the visual goals set by this project to result in effective branding for your business. You will be presented with mockup graphic examples of your projects' possible layout and look. Once the desired changes are made and the look and layout are approved, and formal signoff in writing on your mockup, production begins. The second 1/3 of the estimate will be due at this time.
This process includes input of all textual information, and agreed upon materials determined during the conception process and included within the project outline. If it is a web project, design production, coding and interfacing occur here. If it is a print project, the actual design production begins. We provide estimates with a cap on hours so if there is a danger of going over the established budget, you will be notified while there is still time to prevent it. Our design will take place on eBree Web Design's server and will be transferred to the client's server for the web or to their print provider (for print projects) upon final approval of layout and functionality. The remainder due on the contract is due upon completion of the work and before work is printed or posted to a public server.
I still consider you my client after the work is finished, printed or posted to the web. I want to be sure that the creative solutions I provided to you will help your business strengthen and grow. I wish to build long-term relationships and am available for my clients anytime and will gladly consult regarding any further marketing strategies for print or the web. I am here to work for you.
